Actuarial Science

Mathematical risk modelling - one of the highest-paid and most intellectually demanding degrees in Canada.

Actuarial Science applies mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to assess and manage risk. Students take a series of professional exams (SOA or CAS) alongside their degree. Waterloo's program is arguably the best in the world and produces a disproportionate share of Canada's actuaries.
