Student Council
Represent and lead your school community
Why It Matters
One of the most universally valued ECs across all Canadian universities. Progression from class rep to executive to president over multiple years tells a compelling story of growing leadership.
How to Start
Run for class representative in G7 or G8 - competition is often lower than students expect. Build a real platform around school issues and aim for higher positions each year.
Commitment
- Medium commitment: a few hours most weeks during the school year.
- Best starting grade: G7
- G7 - start as a class rep and build toward a school-wide executive role by G11 or G12.
Programs It Supports
- All Programs - especially Law, Business, Political Science, Education
